Voice Recording for OA, Podcasting, and PBIS Resources

Two Tools for Recording Tests for Oral Administration

OnlineVoiceRecorder is an easy option for recording tests on your Chromebook. Just click the red button and read the test, click save. The recording is downloaded to your computer and you can assign it in Google Classroom to the students who need it.

Vocaroo is another easy option that allows you to save the file directly to Google Classroom. (Thanks, Angelle Enriquez, at AES for finding the Google Classroom feature!)

Recording tip from Angelle: Instead of recording the whole test at once, record the test in batches of five questions. That way if you get interrupted or make a mistake, you can just re-record that section. Neither of these tools has advanced editing features that allows you to crop out a mistake, although OnlineVoiceRecorder allows you to crop the beginning or end of the recording by adjusting the blue slider.

Speaking of Recording...

Looking for a more sophisticated online audio editor? Try the Chrome app Beautiful Audio Editor, which is an "in-browser, multi-track audio editor for Desktop and mobile. Make podcasts, mixes, and more." It works fabulously on the Chromebook and has Google Drive integration.

PBIS

A great big Bulldog thank you to Patrick Sizemore at BMS for sharing PBISWorld.com. What an amazing resource for positive behavior interventions and supports in the classroom.

Select a behavior, and you will be directed to a page that identifies specific actions a student with that behavior may demonstrate. Follow the prompts, and you will be directed to a page with a list of interventions for that particular behavior.
Just another tool in our toolbox for supporting all learners.
